who you're dealing with

A registered business, a named owner, an email that gets answered

You are about to send money to a website you found online. That is a reasonable thing to be careful about, so this page exists to tell you exactly who is behind it — and to be equally clear about what we are not.

The company behind the brand

verifiable

YourWebDesignAgency is a brand of BalticTravel Inh. B. Schimpke e.K.

  • A registered sole-trader business in Hamburg, Germany
  • Run by its owner, Bernd Schimpke
  • Entered in the German commercial register under HRA 101961 — a public register, so you can check we exist without taking our word for it
  • The websites are a separate line of work under that same company
  • That's why the invoice and the imprint say BalticTravel: it is the registered entity, and naming the real one is not optional. The work, the support and the contract are ours.

Same company, same owner, same address as on baltictravel.de.

How to check us
  • Commercial register: Handelsgericht Hamburg, HRA 101961
  • Registered address: Arndtstr. 7, 22085 Hamburg, Germany
  • Owner: Bernd Schimpke
  • Email: support@yourwebdesignagency.com
  • Write before you order. A person answers, not an autoresponder.

Why a $999 website is possible at all

The obvious question. An agency quotes five figures for what looks like the same thing, so either they are overcharging or we are cutting something. Here is the actual answer.

the mechanics
What makes agencies expensive

Most of an agency invoice is not design. It is:

  • The discovery call
  • The written proposal
  • The project manager forwarding emails
  • The account manager who joins the third meeting
  • The weeks of calendar friction between them

The point

On a five-page site for a local business, that overhead outweighs the build. None of it is fraud — it's what a large client needs. It's simply the wrong machine for a plumber who needs five pages and a call button.

What we removed
  • No sales calls. The price is on the website.
  • No proposals. The scope is on the website too.
  • No project management layer. You deal with the person doing the work.
  • No custom systems. We build well-made standard sites, and we say so.
  • AI-assisted drafting, so the first version of a layout takes hours instead of days.

What "AI-assisted" honestly means

It is in our marketing, so it should also be in plain language. Here is what the machine does and where a person takes over.

no mystique
What the AI does
  • Drafts layout options quickly, so we start from five directions instead of a blank page.
  • Turns your notes into readable first-draft page text.
  • Generates the repetitive code — the markup and styling that used to be typed by hand.
  • Handles the tedious parts: alt text drafts, meta descriptions, structured data.
What a person does
  • Decides the structure — what your business needs on page one and what can wait.
  • Checks every fact against what you sent. Nothing about your business gets invented.
  • Rewrites anything that reads like a machine wrote it, because it usually does at first.
  • Tests the site on real devices before you see it.
  • Answers your emails. There is no chatbot between you and us.

The trade-off, stated plainly: this process is fast and cheap because it produces very good standard websites. It does not produce a bespoke visual identity or software written from scratch for you. If that is what your business needs, an agency is the right answer and we will tell you so.

What we promise

Four things we will hold to. Deliberately short — a longer list would mostly be decoration.

the commitments
1 The price is the price
  • $999 covers everything listed as included
  • Nothing on that list turns into an extra invoice later
  • Anything outside it is agreed and priced before work starts
2 Nothing invented about you
  • No fake reviews, no made-up statistics
  • No awards you didn't win, no claims you didn't make
  • Everything traces back to something you told us
3 The site is yours
  • The files, the content and the domain belong to you
  • Cancel the monthly plan and we hand everything over
  • No hostage-taking, no export fee
4 A straight no when it's a no
  • A large catalogue, software from scratch or a bespoke visual identity is not our work
  • We say so instead of selling you an approximation of it

Where we work, and the time difference

We are in Hamburg and most of our customers are not. That has one practical consequence and it is better said upfront than discovered on day two.

practical
The work is remote, all of it
  • Nothing about building a website requires being in the same room
  • Intake form, draft, corrections and launch all happen by email
  • Distance changes nothing about the result
Email is the only channel, on purpose
  • Write at any hour, get an answer from a person — usually within one working day
  • No phone queue, no callback slot, no time zone arithmetic
  • Nothing said in a hurry that nobody can look up later
Everything in writing means everything is checkable
  • Prices, scope and what was agreed sit in a thread both of us can scroll back through
  • Nobody misremembers what was promised
  • You never have to take our word for what was said

What we are not

Most "about us" pages are a list of adjectives. This one is a list of limits, which is more useful to you.

the limits
Not a large teamThis is a small operation, deliberately. It is why decisions are fast and why we don't take on more projects than we can finish in a week each.
Not an established US brandWe are new to this market. There is no long list of American references yet, and we're not going to manufacture one — see the examples page.
Not a law firmWe build the imprint and privacy pages properly, but we don't give legal advice. For trade-specific disclosure rules, ask your own advisor.
Not a marketing agencyWe build the site people land on. Ads, social media management and campaigns are not what we do.

Still want to check us out first?

Good instinct. Send an email and see what kind of answer comes back — a real one, from a person, usually the same working day. Nobody has to buy anything to find out whether we're worth dealing with.
